After their dear friend, Rosie is found dead, business partners, friends and one-time lovers, Juls Whitman and Tuck Potter find themselves tracking a serial killer. When they realize they might be in over their heads, the pair enlists the aid of family friend, Ricky Steele, a private investigator from the nearby city of Fall River.
Together, the trio follow a puzzling trail of evidence, getting closer and closer to a monster who preys on handicapped women, then strews jigsaw puzzle pieces over their lifeless, mutilated bodies. With Juls’ limp and reconstructed knee, will she become the killer’s next victim?
A Note from the Author
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Jigsaw. I love writing about life in a seaside village so, once again, I set this story in a New England town very much like one where I spent a number of years. Although I now live on a river, I return to the ocean often. Was fun to drop in a few local details, as I do in all my novels, even if actual persons and places are figments of my imagination!
Jigsaw is the first mystery featuring Juls Whitman and Tuck Potter, two of my most endearing characters. The tension swirling around the love these friends share for each other was something I particularly wanted to explore in this mystery series. A second adventure for Juls and Tuck is in the works, probably within the next year or two. Many authors have a favorite character, and, I must confess, Ricky Steele (of the Ricky Steele series) is mine, so I decided to have her make an appearance in Jigsaw, as a friend of Tuck’s. Look for more collaborations between Ricky, Juls and Tuck in future!
